Festive Spritz

The classic spritz is great, but sometimes you want more aroma, more citrus, while still keeping it light.
Floral gin lifts it up, grapefruit keeps it crisp, prosecco makes it festive.

 Ingredients
  • Ice cubes
  • 6 cl (20%) floral gin
  • 9 cl (30%) grapefruit juice
  • 3 cl (10%) simple syrup
  • 12 cl (40%) prosecco
  • 1 to 2 dried red or white grapefruit slices

Method

  1. Fill a gin glass generously with ice.
  2. Pour the gin into the glass.
  3. Add the grapefruit juice.
  4. Add the simple syrup.
  5. Stir briefly, 2 to 3 turns, just enough to combine.
  6. Top with prosecco.
  7. Finish with 1 to 2 dried grapefruit slices.


Grapefruit is the “clean line” in this glass, it cuts through the sweetness of syrup and prosecco, and lifts the gin’s floral notes without turning sticky.

The dried grapefruit slices add an extra layer of concentrated, lightly bitter citrus aroma that keeps every sip fresh, even with lots of ice.
